Audi 90 Quattro IMSA GTO: Lovely Turbo Chirping, Accelerations & 5-Cylinder Sound

This video is about one of the most iconic Audi race car: the 90 Quattro IMSA GTO.
Built for the 1989 IMSA GTO series the car is powered by a 2.2-liter 5-cylinder turbo engine able to produce 720hp and 720 Nm of torque. Listen to that glorious sound!!

Saw this car running in person, ....driven by Walter Röhrl at the "one-and-only" Niagara Falls Trans Am street race of 1988. Utterly the other cars came up to a 90 degree turn, and were backing off and braking....Walter goosed it some more and upshifted and floored it, .... my heart was in my mouth thinking he suddenly became insane and will drive STRAIGHT into that retaining wall, ....and instead...he just motored around the corner. The most amazing race car scene I ever wittnessed. And yeah, the turbo pop-off valve... peep-peep-peep-peep in rapid

I remember seeing this car as a kid at Del Mar and Long Beach!! The blow off sound, flames coming out from the side, Hans Stuck driving like a maniac!! Hands down my favorite car of all time!!

This car has also been made in a Hot Wheels Diecast replica. In which I finally got for the first time. Hans Joachim-Stuck was the driver of this Audi. And Walther Rohl co-driven with Hans in one event with him. In which of winning Seven events in the GTO division which they won the championship. The events they won was Summit Point in West Virginia, Mid-Ohio, Heartland Park in Topeka, Kansas, Sonoma, Watkins Glen, Lime Rock in Connecticut, and Laguna Seca.
