Manhunt for B.C. murder suspects enters new chapter

RCMP is beginning to scale down its search efforts in northern Manitoba and some of the focus is starting to look at northern Ontario after receiving an unconfirmed sighting of the two suspects in the B.C. murders.

Officers responded but their search turned up nothing.

With answers scarce, some people say there is still unease, especially in Gillam, Man. where a major search effort has taken place over the past several days but is now paring down. The search will, however, continue in the community despite the smaller search team that will remain.

Authorities ask people across Canada to call 911 if they see someone who matches the suspects' descriptions.

Type Gillam to Kapuskasing into Google Maps. Doesn't seem to be anyway they can get there without going through Winnipeg and Thunder Bay where the chance they'd be spotted is extremely high. I'm guessing it's a false alarm much like York Landing.

Finally police doing a police job in Canada , instead of watching cars all the time and dying to give them a ticket for stupid reasons. In Canada we have police brutality in traffic. They do absolutely nothing all day, but driving their cars around and looking for victims.

They keep saying that these tips are "unconfirmed". Either, every tip is wrong or the RCMP are too incompetent to solve this...sad.

I know all that can be done is probably being done, but if people are wanting to get a note to the families, I know that at Legacy dot com there is a place for the family & friends of Chynna Deese you can send your condolences to, many are including the family of Lucas Fowler too... also if you're inclined, there is a Go Fund Me account for the family of Chynna that's been set up. I pray for the families, as too that of Mr Leonard Dyck * from all accounts, 3 really awesome people lost their lives :\ I also hear that Burning Man later this month will be honoring Lucas & Chynna with a memorial (likely in the temple).

Of course they have another car, they have always had 2 cars...that's how they were able to travel so far after burning the one vehicle. I can't believe they have not caught them yet, really embarrassing for the RCMP.

I hope they walk into a church or a safe place and turn themselves in. This way RCMP can't kill them in a vicious "gun battle" even though they don't own firearms.
