Siemens Velaro units I’ve tried in China, Turkey, Spain and on Eurostar have been excellent and world-class. I look forward to seeing the final product launched in the USA

We need another tour in the USA like was done with the ICE back in the 90s to help get more people aware and increase public interest in Siemens high speed trains.

I really like the renderings of the train in action! Hopefully these renderings will be the final product of what they will look like!

Can't wait to see this trainset in the U.S., hopefully on Brightline West! Integrating the driver's cab with the passenger cars is a standard trend that allows for more weight distribution, and it's about time for the U.S. to utilize the internationally accepted method of HST design.

This is from the CEO report (just released, page 19):

> Given the long lead time for train design and manufacturing requirements, our goal is to begin the procurement process in 2023 to ensure that trains are available for the required testing and certification process. This will be essential to meeting our goal of initiating revenue service by 2030 - 2033.

I suspect this video is an ad aimed specifically at the CAHSR board (the 220+ MPH is a pretty obvious tongue in cheek). I think Siemens is already in a pretty good place here, since they have a factory in Sacramento, and the CAHSR authority is pretty biased—and rightly so—towards creating jobs inside California.

I love these types of trains. Been on Eurostar so many times that I would love to see these types of trains in the United States (provided we actually build a true high speed railway ala CAHSR).

You know, I am actually a RideUTA expert, and I love your S70, SD-100, and SD-160 trains a lot, with the overhead power lines! I've never had a single problem, at all! Even at that, this light rail train is gonna look nice, when it first arrives in this country!

Ngl, I prefer this Velaro design over the modern ICE 3 "bulbous" design, this design reminds me of the classic "sharp" ICE 3 and the livery reminds me of the Sapsan trains.

I hope on the final production model, the doors will have oval windows like the ICE 3s have here in Germany. It looks much fancier with the oval windows

I do find it odd that two different locomotive designs are shown in the video. Which one is it going to be?

The concept shown in motion with the livery has a very different shape at the front, as well as some changes to the design of the lights. In my opinion, both of these changes, but especially the shape itself, are a massive visual upgrade over the Velaro Novo design that has been shown thus far and in the beginning of this very video.

Are these changes going to be implemented in the Velaro Novo platform? Are they specific to the version that will be made for the USA? Or does this rendering not reflect what the trains will actually look like whatsoever (except for the livery, perhaps)?
