Review of NRS Cvest Mesh Back PFD

This video reviews the NRS cVest Mesh Back PFD.

Having used this PFD for almost a year at the date of this review, the review is based upon experience of using the PFD on about 40 trips during both Winter, Spring and Summer conditions and weather.

That was really useful thank you. I have been looking at this PFD for some time after seeing the chap on "Paddle TV" wearing one and your review is very reassuring. I'm leaning more towards the Red one :-) Not sure about the difference between this and the NRS Chinook however so may end up with that!

The measurement of the chest pockets using your "IPhone 12 Pro Max" was also useful. I looked up your phone size ( 16cm x 7.8cm x 0.74cm ) and now know that my Moto G7 in its sizeable case not fit. No worries I'll be using an even larger waterproof case over it anyway so into one of the side pockets it goes :-)

Do you know if the cVest rides up when you get in the water? The "NRS Chinook OS" has 7 straps, including one in the front center, unlike this one that just has 6 straps and none in the front center. I wonder how much of a difference the front center strap makes. I have a Stohlquist Keeper and it has a cross chest cinch fit that fits great, but it's too bulky around the waist and too warm for hot weather. Never tried an NRS

How do you find sizing? I’m right at 42” and am wondering if I should go with the XS-M or the L-XL. Thanks in advance!
