I feel like the main problem for the cast isn't the fact that it's these specific actors that are in this movie. It's the fact that movies nowdays feature way too many famous actors and not any up-and-coming ones.
Don't get me wrong. I love Chris Evans since Captain America, I think that Dakota Johnson is pretty good, and Pedro is a phenomenal actor. However, I think it would be nice to see someone who is starting to get some traction in Hollywood or maybe transferred from the silver screen to the big screen like Sadie Sink.

Everyone is saying that Chris Evan's acting in Knives out sucked, for me he did a great job! Ransom was kinda funny to me (yes he was a brat) but when you think about it Chris nailed the role. Say what you will but I think Chris is still a great actor.

The entire triangle love trope is kinda Celine’s thing. She openly had agreed that past lives was a direct reference to her life, and how she had to choose between her korean boyfriend or white boyfriend. SupremeLemone’s review on Letterboxd sums up everything you need to know about Celine song, and its a very good review that shows how many MANY asian directors are switching up their narrative styles to please western audiences rather than staying authentic (sigh… Bong joon ho)
