"Rebecca" was an actual woman who owned the house before Taylor bought it. It's a true story, and a very fascinating one at that.

Seriously the song is about “Rebecca” until the end but when she says “ I had a marvelous time ruining everything” it means she bought the house, not she was the one the other parts of the song were about. Anyway despite this I enjoyed the vid very very much.:)
