When will the Ibis Mojo Ti hit the dirt?

I scored an original Shimano M-950 hub from my neighbor for $10! Tight on time, and high on enthusiasm, I headed down to the local shop to get the wheel built up. The mechanic took one look at my haggard 355 rim and told me it’d be two weeks for them to get it together. I figured I should just roll the dice and build the wheel myself- what could go wrong? The shop cut me some 260mm spokes on the spot, and I ran home, dreaming about tensiometers and spoke prep the whole way! Once the wheel was together, I could then test fit tires.

Mark also included both a Nano 2.1 TCS Tubeless tire and another rather unicorn product: the coveted Mutano 2.2 TCS Tubeless tire. The Mutano was well used, but still had plenty of life in it. I guesstimate it at 10 years old now. But it mounted up great, and IT FITS in the tight chainstays of the bike! What a home run! This should be a KILLER set up!

Stay tuned for episode 3!

I dreamt of a Green Specialized Stumpy. I had pictures of it cut out of magazines all over my basement. My Raleigh M80 was always good to me back then but that Green Stumpy was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen!

I swear those old XTR Hubs are something different. I got a 95' Marin with those hubs. It stood outside for 10 Years straight now and the hubs are still smooth and quiet. Crazy

My fave bike is Bontrager Race. Still got it and built up with (yes) V-brakes and carbon fibre rigid forks. Prob is 1" headset :(

I always liked the geometry on Gary Fisher bikes. I still have a "newer" one (early 2000s) that I converted to 1x and I ride from time to time. Still loads of fun!

I took my old school Jamis hardtail out for a spin today, and the dropper post was definitely what I missed the most.

I have been happy with just about every WTB product I've ever bought. Nice watching this come together Jeff.

That sweet 1995 Ibis looks awesome on my Sony Plasmatron! It’s the same TV I watched the final episode of Full House on. ‘95 was an awesome year!

I’ll run shuttles for ya on my horse and buggy. Just playing man, cool to ride down memory trail with ya. I look forward to riding my 26er when everyone is riding hover bikes. Still are faster and more stylie.

Mountain bikes have gotten so good recently, we are now turning back to classic builds like a car guy taking his old air cooled manual 911 around the block

My 1999 Mojo steel arrives next week! We’re you able to get this feeling more ridable using a shorter stem?

"That's so uncomfortable..." LOL. That's a retro hardtail for sure. 1995 Kona Kilauea in Tange Prestige tubing. Was my dream bike when I was 16. Finally acquired one and hated the geometry - my wrists were killing from the super long top tube! Ditched that bike for a modern Kona Process and not looking back!

That ti bike is so sick.. wonder if a fox 32 would fit.. I've never checked for a non tapered version of that particular fork.
