Out of Bounds Secrets Shadow Man Remastered

Shadow Man one of my favourite Nintendo 64 action platformers was released not too long ago for the Switch. Receiving a much needed make over from the team at NightDive Studios. It looks and plays better than ever and its well worth a go if you fancy a classic Tomb Raider style adventure with a dark twist! So in this video we'll be doing the usual, taking a look at some out of bounds secrets, behind the scenes developer tricks, Easter eggs and something a little different because we'll also be looking at general comparisons between the remastered and original title!

That explains why a room is sometimes missing in the Dreamcast version.
It was always the same room.

I would have Mike running around, and then unexpectedly he starts falling into a bottomless pit.
The room that was normally there was missing because it failed to load.

My uncle has this game still on the Nintendo 64 and I always remember that loading screen image scaring the crap out of me as a kid 😂

This game is an masterpiece. Many years ago I also did the out of bounds exploration using cheat engine. I mapped buttons so, that if I press them, cheat engine ads value to my current position and I teleport. The video is on my channel, if you want to see that.

This game (original version) also has hidden option to enable development menu, which lets you choose levels etc. All you need to do is rename one file in game folder. I also have this video.

Just found your modern RE stuff and I've always found these sorts of things fascinating. One of my favorite camera tricks is in the Ornstein and Smough fight in DS1 where the entire arena shrinks to make it look like Ornstein is getting bigger

A theory about the scissor art at 9:20
it might be a reference to postal dev running with scissors as in postal 2 there is a reference "I am the lizard king"

I'll like to see out of bounds in the original prey and the suffering on level zero.

Edited: Level 0 is a bonus area after beating the suffering the only part you're allowed on normally is the pier.

I played the remastered (not finished yet) and it runs absolutely perfectly, a lot of devolvers can learn from their games.
