The car's original mechanical fuel pump was leaking so it was time to convert to an electric pump. It took me two goes as my first unit was a dud.

I fitted the new valves, but they were actually 1.5mm greater dia than those I took out so had to emery them down to fit and then press them in with a vice. Anyway now I think they're not returning as fuel starvation has returned, so back onto the Electric fuel pump.

Please can you tell me why you chose the 40105 over the 40104 and also a cube rather than the cylindrical FEP60SV / 447060E ? Thanks, David ( P.S. I've no idea why this comes up as Grandad testing instead of David Brooks? )

Did you look at Hardi pumps as part of your investigations?

Do you find this is still working well for you? I have bought a Facet for my P5 but wondering if the SU is worth the extra money??

Really interesting. I've been wrangling new valves into my mechanical pump but your Facet cube pump could be a next step. what in-line fuel filter have you used ?

Did you subsequently fit the inertia switch? That would have been an interesting sequel!
