Larry Bird was a killer player, not just skill-wise but mentally too. Larry was absolutely savage with his trash-talking and had no trouble getting into opponents' heads.

Bird got in the heads of players as soon as they came into the league. He outhustled everyone on the court. Smart. Tough. Bad Ass.

And some analysts had the nerve to say that if Larry Bird was playing today he would be nothing but a regular guy. So wrong and so disrespectful, so undervalued as one of the great. Larry Bird will definitely be on my starting five.

Larry Bird was a once in a lifetime gift from the basketball gods. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a better all-around basketball player. Highest basketball IQ ever. I’ve been around a long time and been watching basketball since the late 60s. Even though I was a Knicks fan, in all my years of watching, Larry was always the best. As an aside, I can’t quite watch the NBA today. The players just don’t seem to have that commitment, competitive spirit, and it’s all about being the star rather than building a team. JMHO.

I'm an old head, and I can't dismiss Steph as bad as I hate today's NBA. Purest, nonchalantly shooter I've ever seen, including damnit....even though I'd take Bird all day in his prime if I had to pick up teams on a court.

All praise to Steph and his talent.👍👍👍

Yes, Steph is a Great Shooter . . . .
But Larry was a Great TeamMate,
who Played every Second of those 48 minutes, cand Excelled at more than just Off. & Def. . . . . . .
But Again,
Larry made Amazing Steals, Full Court Passes, Off. Rebound Tip Passes, Dove for Loss Balls, etc. 🏀🏀🏀 🏀🏀🏀 🏀🏀🏀 🏀🏀🏀 🏀🏀🏀 🏀🏀🏀

DAMN Straight! I'm an "old head!" The ONLY reason I was ever interested in this game was bc of one man: Bird! As a kid, watching the need w Dad and Granddad, we heard, down in Florida, abt this rookie coming in off an NCAA Finals loss against a young Magic. None of us knew who these 2 were until their rookie NBA seasons! At the age of 9, now, I feel privileged that I was able to watch ALL of Larry's career from start to finish! Birdman will always ALWAYS be MY GOAT! First one to enter stats for what would become the 50- 40-90 club and did thag twice along w all else he achieved in only 13 yrs... Back then when the game was more physical. If we had sports medical advances then like there is now? OMG, these kids still wouldn't be able to keep up w Bird! Even Lebron has LB as a hero being a small fwd like Bird, and one of HIS top-3, along w Mike and Dr. J! 😀🤘

In the 3 point shooting clip, notice that Larry never took his warm up off.
