Good job, Moo! Been there, done that. Good rig. I've found as I'm getting older shortening everything up by a foot, sticks in more in the Halibuts face so they exhort less energy biting your bait. Great job!

Nice strait forward Video. Fish a very similar rig up here in AK. MOO MOO has it right this is a effective set up. To many people think that halibut are trash food eaters. Not true in the least they are true predators. We have caught them up here with whole king salmon in their bellies. Halibut swim and hide next to the bottom. Even if they are not hungry they are always looking up. so if your bait is within 10' of the bottom they can see it and small it. Keep educating Young Man. Hats off to ya!

Great information Moo. My set up is almost the same with your, except I prefer the 4 to 5 feet leader and shorter distance from 3 way swivel to the sinker ( about 18"). Get ready Moo. See you on the water soon.

Awesome MooMoo, thank you for your effort and taking it step by step.... I'm so glad I found your channel! I used to live in the Bay Area and now I'm just up the coast, in PNW.

I tried this rig out last Saturday. It really helps avoid the line twist I was experiencing with a three way swivel. Thanks Moo!!
