Na bro, nobody's gonna leave davinci for adobe. Davinci is best option if you are choosing an nle. 💯

Nah. Even with this so called promising update, Davinci is still far better than Premiere Pro in all aspects. Premiere Pro is the thing of the past.

Wait till davinci adds all that in version 20 (or 21)

Only thing Davinci is missing in my opinion is a major upgrade to fusion making it the better choice for motion graphics

Thanks for the information, Tom! I've been working with Final Cut Pro for 10 years now and have never tried Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve. As a Mac user, could you tell me more about them? I really like After Effects, but I haven't seriously considered switching from FCP. What do you think - should I?

You know that don't need to do the color manage in nodes in davinci if you prefer to get it automatically done. And the auto mask or what is was called in premiere is already in davinci. So I don't se why this features would make any differences. The only feature that is kind of cool one time a year is that you could use ai to extend your klipp. But I hope people is not going to use it as a free card to get out (hopefully) of trouble. But sure it is an interesting tool to have on very special cases for sure, than not to have it. But it's nothing that should swing you over to another nle. But it seams like you are not satisfied with davinci from maby long time premiere, and sure use what you like. Just thought the arguments for changing nle was weak. Perhaps change from evnato to motion array while you're at it? I hear they addad one new feature ;)

Don't forget Resolve has have automatic colour management for years! Saying you are forced to do it manually using CST's is little misleading. Not to mention all of the tools in the color managed workflow in Resolve adjust their behaviour to the space you are working in. Still a much more powerful method of colour management than Premiere's. The Properties Panel, new crop tool shortcut button is literally lifted from Resolve's interface in the form of the Inspector and on screen tools. Feels a little baity to claim you are moving over but only compare small things.

Not bad not bad, now wait for davinci 😂😂

the features adobe providing going to charge unexpected fees, while davinci will probably drop a banger without a single extra penny.
And sorry there's no way I'm jumping back to the adobe,

Davinci ❤

That sums up the upcoming updates for Premier Pro 2025. Thanks for keeping us posted. I love the tailored initiative taken by team Envato here for video people! ♥

3. Adobe's new color management

bro just talking about the CST in and CST out in color page... when there is literally also automatic color management in resolve.... even more... that even exist from long time

When you are just editor that dont care about coloring but using bunch of camera sources.... just use DaVinci YRGB color managed and forget about that CST thing...
Or you're from VFX world, there is ACES timeline natively working

So magic mask like in Resolve?
Or is it better?
Color management like in Resolve?

AI video generation may be useful, but not so often needed.

Object selection is for me the most interesting one. I use a plugin called Mask Prompter in AE, but I think Argentina's economy is more stable that the plugin. I hope it works as advertised in the end, because I remember when Adobe promoted the "super duper cool MORPH EDIT", that was supposed to be magic, making morphing cuts to eliminate jump cuts, but... the tools is awfully and it works really poorly.

Where the hell did the grid effect tool go from premiere pro???

Good look paying Adobe hefty monthly fees, everything presented here DaVinci already does for a one time fee and it has a native support for their own BRAW which is an absolute game changer for people working with raw footage. Goodbye Adobe forever.

I did tried the premiere 2024 but my went at max speed just at opening the freaking software, still laggy and most of the updates they did was just copied from davinci and dropped in there. yeah AI video extending stuff is cool but no, I'm not using any adobe software except substance but that's only becuase now adobe owns it. by the way I rarely hear my pc fans using davinci resolve.

When it comes to editing programs and VFX, etc. I am a software polygamist, I use both depending on the task. And for multicam editing Grass Valey Edius is the best in the galaxy
