I started seeing Terry Willard over 20 years only is he an awesome herbalist, he is also a humanitarian. I called his secretary Dorthy, 20 years ago and told her my father-in-law had stage 4 bone cancer. There was not an appointment for 3 weeks, so Terry Willard came in after work the next day, and talked to my father in law for 2 hours on how to work with his condition. With dandelion etc, he lived 5 more good active years after being given 3 months to live!! Terry knows his stuff, but is also a very interested, kind man who treats you like a human being which is also important!

Dandelions are one of my favorite foods! Been eating them since I can remember from my childhood. When I got cancer, the doctors couldn’t understand how I survived. I told them: “It’s because I eat my yard!”. I’m 55. Was diagnosed when I was 20. I’m a smoker, sometimes drinker, and, I’m still kicking. Eat your yard!

Searching for Stinging Nettle, I found Yarrow, with Stinging Nettle and Terry, with Dandelion. The Joy, Happiness and Peace, I felt listening to you, reminded me of My Youthful, Hippy Days, Hitchhiking along a coastal California highway and running into guys just like you. AS I sit here now in the late afternoon, the Bells are ring a call to Vespers. In this time and on this day you have effected me. W.

I enjoy yarrow = your enthusiasm for common plants I've always loved...when I was a small child in postwar Amsterdam I first saw a dandelion come up at the meeting point of the paving tiles...and I asked my mother why, and she said: nature will always win.

Dandelions can definitely clean your digestive system for sure . A friend of mine who was interested in wild edibles made me a salad with dandelion leafs and within an hour or so I was visiting the bathroom pretty much most of the night .
Perhaps a little too much dandelion I think .It does help with hepatitis C . My brother had that and I recommended he tried dandelion root capsules and it helped a lot . He also took milk thistle which is another powerful plant for the liver and kidneys .
After a year or so of doing this regiment he tested negative for hep C .
I'm a firm believer that anything we need or ever will need for our well being is right here on this planet but we have to be observant and listen to the natives experiences no matter what part of the world to learn more about what nature has to offer us all .
The more we damage our planet and lose touch with nature, the more we damage ourselves .

Lovely way to start the day! Thanks guys. Your knowledge and enthusiasm always keep me coming back. Dandelion root is a life saver and now that I am old I still remember picking the little bouquets of yellow flowers to give my Dad and he would smile like he was given the hope diamond! Have a beautiful day!🌻💜🍀

I enjoyed this video. I have been telling people for many years that the dandelion is underrated and more recently fancy restaurants have started adding the greens to their salads. There are stories passed from my grandparents that during wwII when there was a coffee shortage some people would roast the roots and grind them to use like coffee (since it was a little bitter that way they sometimes added a little clover if they had it). It may not have the caffeine but I would rather drink a cup of dandelion tea than a cup of Starbucks overrated junk lol.

The dandelion conjures up wonderful childhood memories. It is that spirit that I choose my You Tube name A Fistful of Dandelions. What could be more joyful than that

Such a delightful video, Yarrow and Terry! I actually collected Dandelion seed heads from the one plant I found near to our place, and scattered the seed and now have a dozen or so really beautiful healthy dandelions flowering and hopefully self-seeding. Yep, they're a 'weed' here, too, but I already knew enough to wnat them in our Medic garden vicinity.. Now I'm absolutely delighted!! No wonder you're such an excited herbalist, Yarrow.. My dad was a general practitioner doctor, and I never felt moved to follw in his footsteps as a 'doctor', but I love realizing how much of a healer he was. He did love plants, even though his work involved mostly OTC pharnaceuticals, as was his training and the expectation of the day, and I distictly remember his passion for Gentian Violet, and his affirmation re Neti pots, as learnt by him in Bombay during WW2.. I wish I had understood more of what he had to share while he was still on this Earth. Thank you so much for your videos, Yarrow.. each seems even better than the one I've just watched!!

Wow, I remember thinking I had to rid the lawn of my dandelions, now, I love them. Once I thought we needed a concrete path around the garden, now, I really love the narrow trodden grassed paths that naturally form and naturally generate many dandelions. It so happened around our neighborhood some other people let them grow and flower in abundance, so we can see other large patches of knee high yellow flowers moving in the breeze and making a beautiful sight that you can feel at peace with. (not thinking they are messy anymore, :) just beautiful)

I married a Canadian and now we live and work in New Brunswick, Canada and Florida. Used to travel back and forth with my big screen TV which was a big PIA and expensive. So this winter coming to Florida I decided to see if I could go without TV. Thanks to channels like this, I don't miss it at all!

As a child I dreaded when the first dandelion flower's bloomed. My father made wine with them and the recipe called for loooot's of flower's.
