I don’t know why, but when I was a kid I sang this to my German Shepherd puppy, Kozar, when he would cry at night and we’d have to soothe him to get him to sleep. That was ~11 years ago. I’m 22 now and Kozar has been gone for 3 years. Today would have been his birthday, so I am listening to this song and in tears remembering my Heart Dog.

I first heard this song probably 10-12 years ago? I'm 37 now, and every now and again, I'll think of it and come watch it. It always brings me to tears 🥲 There weren't as many comments way back then... But to see so many people's words of appreciation over the years, for the pure and sweet innocence of this song - well it just makes it all the more special... I'm glad this video exists 💙💙💙
