It's never too late to jump in since the game only 8 months and lunar year next few months follow by 1st year anniversary so we expected alot of Steller Jade from those event

I started in 1.4 with the PS5 launch. It sucks that I missed out on that Nihility light cone, but otherwise it's been a blast. All the other big, important events with hefty rewards are still in the game. I've caught up on all the quests and am just focused on building up my two teams for the Forgotten Hall. Slowly working my way through Swarm Disaster and pushing a little further into MoC each week. I was able to clear Floor 7 today, but missed out on the 3rd star when Tingyun got one-shot.

The only two things slowing me down (and anyone else who wants to start now) are elemental coverage and having too many things to farm, particularly relics. The elemental issue will resolve itself in time, as I get new units. Unfortunately, I can only cross my fingers when it comes to relics.

I dont know why people constantly ask this on a single player gacha game. It's never too late to start or return. Since it's single player, you're not competing against anyone but your own account progression. Technically speaking there's no "Late" time to return to it, GI included.

Everyone talks about things that Star Rail has that Genshin needs I just want a quick start button in Star Rail or at least make the future events not require more story to play and only have Xianzhoi Loufu story be the highest requirement.

It's not too late to start but, if you are wanting to play the major events going on right now it'll be pretty much impossible to get there because it requires going all the way through to the very end of the main Xianzhou Loufu story. It's not worth it not unless you really want the Huohuo lc because rushing through story is painful even if you enjoy story, maybe even more painful if you like to slow down and enjoy it.

HSR, unlike Midshin Impact, actually keeps around major events as permanent content. While you won't get the limited rewards, you'll still be able to experience the story/narrative and still receive some completion rewards.

It is not too late now and meta characters will always get reruns and newer accounts will have different goals. But it is true that time is money in these games. If you jump in 3 years later the sheer amount of comtent might just overwhelm you and you will feel you are not on same plane as everybody else and you might have a alienated experience. By alienated I mean you might not be playing the same newer content as your friends or the communities like in hoyolab. Also you might have to go for certain rerurn characters and skip certain newer ones.

Lastly you might not even reach your account goals if you join in near end of service. Then it is really is too late.

Just like genshin, you can play whenever you want and still clear the moc in a matter of months. Just dont sweat about it.

i find this game actyually terrible to start late bc of the elements you get to need and the lack of them youll most likely end up getting. i startd like 3 months later and already feeling bad enough to be point of nearly quitting, specially if you take this huohuo event as a base for the combat dificulty in the future. its gonna be REALLY frustrating.
