I used to have a cat like that. Absolute lovebug who never scratched or bit anyone ever (except for accidental scratches when squirming in someone's arms). She absolutely loved to snuggle, purr, and wake me up in the morning.

Almost 10 years since she's been gone, and I still miss her.

The low maintenance thing is kind of a misconception. They are low maintenance in that you don't have to take them for a walk and they just do their business in a box of sand. Also giving them a bath is unnecessary. But they need as much attention and interaction as any dog. The sleeping thing comes later. She's still a baby 🙂

Layla’s so okay with everything cause you’ve done an amazing job with socializing her!! It’s really important to start when they’re young and she’s at the perfect age for it! Most cats are like this as kittens but don’t get socialized enough so they end up becoming the stereotype. Layla’s not broken at all she’s just in a wonderful home! <3

You got a real gem with that girlie. It is rare to have a cat that will follow you around the way a dog will. I socialized my girls so heavily, they do the same thing. Gotta be in the same room as the peoples. Her live of being held and loved on is a personality thing: some cats love that, others tolerate it, others squirm as soon as you pick them up. Lol
