There is no such things as Invasive Species...
All Species are Invasive Species 😂

I think the fact that humans have the most evolved minds that sets us apart from the rest of the animal kingdom, we're more inquisitive than invasive. Although we have our moments. But I think given the depth of our minds, we have more of a responsibility to take care of the earth... which unfortunately we aren't living up to that standard

I mean we certainly have the impacts of an invasive species…

Humans are gross. I’ve been trying to get rid of them for years but it seems like every time I get rid of one, two pop up in its place.

Since we humans got to where we are on our own, we aren't an invasive species, only a non- native one

Firmly established in the ecosystem, yet still causing damaged to this day. We are bizarre creatures.

Yes but no. We have a huge impact on ourselves and enviorments. But weve firmly established ourselves now for the most part.

I think this is a very good question actually! I think we are the most invasive Species.
I would in fact take in environment into account! Not just harm to humans or animals. There is more to destroy than animals and humans...

We got to be invasive species by proxy. If we are the reason invasive species came in to an area, and it’s affecting us, then we are at the least indirectly invasive species by that definition they have

Hugo Weavings character in The Matrix pretty much sums the human species up accurately enough. Essentially we spread, we dominate and we decimate. Nothing is safe from human kind, even itself.

🦛 I still cannot wrap my head around the fact that there are now technically wild Hippos that live in South America due to Pablo Escobar illegally importing them from Africa in the 1980’s! There were originally only FOUR hippopotamuses brought to his ranch. Now there are around *130* to *160* hippopotamuses according to the Colombian government that live around the former ranch… *CRAZY* 🦛

Interesting subject. Really depends on how "invasive" is defined. Humans seem definitely invasive to other humans, like with the European diseases brought over to the Americas. On the other hand how long until you're not invasive anymore and considered part of the native fauna?

It was discussed in the first Matrix movie when agent Smith was interrogating Morphius we are a virus.

all humans originate from Africa like most great apes, we are certainly invasive

humans are technically both because like humans discovered places and populated it and yeah humans brought humans to other places

There's some species that are counted as invasive, that brought themselves there, usually birds, though there's probably some marine animals that have too, like the silver-cheeked toadfish that invaded the Mediterranean. (But we enabled it to, with the Suez canal).

I'd say we're more like natural parasite to the earth itself.
