In primary school we were taught that "Music is the international language of all mankind". So I believe this video very much. I noticed at the church I used to go to that the music was so different than the music I grew up with in church. I no longer go to that church. Even the Lord's Prayer was sung so differently that it made me feel very uneasy. Anything that gives me a cause to pause, I stay away from. That "Old Time Religion Is Good Enough For Me". I am not good at music but I appreciate this perspective. I hate the lyrics and repetition in modern worship music being used in our church services. Even the historical song Holy Holy Holy contains the unscriptural text, Mary and Joseph come lend you aid, invoking the dead to pray for us. So discernment comes from God and that by fervent prayer for that gift.

I remember when I listened to Metal while working out. It made me push harder and got me pumped. Now I listen to Christian music while working out and I am at peace. My goal has changed at the gym. I am no longer interested in pushing my body. I am interested in pushing my belief towards God. And when I do that it helps me with my weight lifting. I know it sounds strange. But it works.

I am grateful you posted this as God asked me to stop all secular music a few yesrs ago and like the narrator said, when I workout I would tune in high power/energy music that gave me that extra caffeine kick for my to push farther in my workout so it has been kind of hard to give it up but the Holy Spirit is helping me as I know the enemy will try to trip any of us up. This is just so true about music because it truly can change your mood. i used to listen to Prince, Madonna and all the rest, including Beyonce and anything that sounded good and I liked the beat. It really did put me in a mood of either joy, sadness, rage or anger. I'm 54 and grew up with nothing but pop culture and just recently started following Jesus!. God bless you ALL!
