Pleaseeee make more videos about hip thrusts😍 I’ve fixed my back pain problems when doing RDL and squats but I still feel my lower back while doing hip thrusts 😭 super grateful for your videos

But my quads seems to contribute more if I bend my knees lol

You mighta just helped me figure out the weird machine at the gym in the side room that nobody touches.

That looks like a rocking machine. Wish we could have something like that in my country

This is why the hip thrusts are best done with free weights/barbells & a bench.
The machine is just not suitable for every person's set up.
In this case, the set up seems to be a major issue. The position of this shoulders wr.t. the load & curve of the spine is suboptimal.
The second issue here is his foot position & width.
And, lastly, Bret Contreras (the 'inventor' of the BB hip thrust) recommends flexing the neck a bit as well.
In short, the machine is screwing up the entire process of the hip thrust in this case/for this lifter...

How about the opposite situation? For those who never get quad soreness but rather glute and hamstrings pain from squats and Bulgarians 🤔

So basically the hamstrings are strongest at that 135 degree angle and bringing your legs to for a 90 degree angle at the knees makes for a much stronger glute contraction and less hamstring involvement

Weird, j had the opposite effect. Felt it more with heels further away.

Nice! So how can I make this happen on my 45° angle Roman Chair? I just bought it and I’m struggling to strengthen my glutes/back again. I was fit but stopped working out and haven’t in yearsss… now at 50 my lower back and glutes need this to happen sooner than later 😅

Best glute isolation exercise is the kneeling cable good morning. Set up with dip belt. Similar to hip thrust in terms of glute vs hamstring contributions, but compared to hip thrust it lets you take the glutes through greater ROM and doesn’t load the spine.
