Goes to interview and spend some time around their office. Gets rejection next day saying I wasn't "enthusiastic" enough even though I was really focusing on the environment and asking great questions.

5 years later and after the fifth time the company reaches out to on LinkedIn and Indeed saying I had a phenomenal background to join their team. I decline and reply to their message saying it wasn't enthusiastic enough to get me to work there.

I experienced this with ROBERT HALF. A recruiter called me. I got strong sales men vibes. I sent him everything and heard nothing from him. Further, Robert Half is set up where other recruiters can't talk to you if another has reached out to you already. Another was willing to work with me until her system told her another recruiter "had me." I was reluctant to work with Robert Half (they work like a machine). Besides this, I've had much success with recruiters.

I despise LinkedIn. Not only do I despise the service I despise how everyone’s turn it into Facebook and post all kinds of garbage about their lives that I don’t give a fuck about. As far as I’m concerned LinkedIn is dead I don’t use it at all it’s absolute garbage and trash.

Recruiters I've found are absolute trash. Most of them were the C students in high school who barely graduated and then couldn't pass their real estate license exam.

I'm a recruiter. Never have I reached out to someone like that without understanding what they are looking for as a candidate. Also to forget people like that is shameful. Can't believe some people experience this.

Yep this has happened to me, I never take them serious. You’re only a quota to them to fill so they can show their boss they’re “trying”.

Literally happened to me a couple of months ago. They strung me along through three interviews after soliciting my application for a job I was “perfect” for, then quietly gave an offer to another candidate and didn’t let me know till I sent them a follow up.

Lmfao. I always question why they need a resume if they sent my name over to the hiring manager already, surely they already have a copy of my resume or wherever it is they got the information likely had my work history available as well.

Many do this strategically. They will BLANKET firms they work with or want to work with with your resume. If in the future you get a job with a firm they sent your resume to - even if they had no involvement, it is a different job, and years passed - they will try to claim a finder's fee. Many firms, especially the big ones will pay the fee rather than waste money fighting the claim. Pathetic.
