When i watched Arcane for the first time I thought "Oh well, another generic looking bad guy that has some kind of evil plan", only for him to become the most interesting & complex character. Turns out he wasn't really the villain, just the antagonist that's also trying to do the right thing. Loved his relationship with Jinx & the parallels to Vander. How he and Vander went through the exact same journey, gave up their dream for the sake of their adopted daughter & ended up dying for them. Fantastic character arc.
