My mom watched me play the original Final fantasy 7 when i was younger, she has recently heard about the remake and watched some videos on it, she is now very excited as she wants me to take my PS5 over for a weekend so she can watch me play the new remake .

Insanely hyped for this game. The first part was amazing. Final fantasy 7 was actually the first RPG ever played and it holds a very special place in my heart

Not sure of everybodys definition of openworld but the director actually said the game is a openworld with seamless interconnected regions. There is also verticality to it and you'll need specific chocobos to be able to climb or fly.

"open zone" basically how it used to be and that worked just great as long as you can back track! love to hear it!

3:26 There appears to be a summon available for each region that you can collect by defeating them in Chadly’s virtual arena; they are very, very hard fights; you weaken them by finding and activating the hidden divine intel zone in each region; I heard this takes them down to 1/2 strength

Quick clarification: I do believe the developers have stated that the zones are connected seamlessly with no loading screens. I guess "open world" could also imply that the player can experience the story in a non-linear way--which i don't think applies here--but this game is "open world" in all other senses of the term.

Ive been playing the OG FF7 since 1999 at least once a year every year. Loved the Remake, cant wait for Rebirth.

For more context for anyone who doesn't know, the third disc had to contain a lot of prerendered CGI cutscenes, which left little room for actual content. With the first two discs covering 98% of the game, the structure here makes perfect sense.

I just bought FF7R last week on steam as my first FF game ever. I havnt been able to put it down, it's so amazing. I can't wait for this to release on PC

The thing im most excited for part 2 is just the Re-imagining of the golden saucer. I hope its just as crazy, depraved, and wacky fun house as before and they dont hold back. The mini games and all that should be a treat. It HAS to be one of he BIG highlights of Part 2
