How To Install Very Long Corridor Presence Sensors For Lighting

High-frequency technology or Microwave Sensor Technology gets actuated irrespective of the direction of motion, which is not the case with the Passive Infrared Sensor. In reality, these types of sensors prefer radial direction of movement because the signal generated is even greater.
The DUAL HF sensor is unique as it uses 2 special High Frequency-sensors to watch over both directions in a corridor from the ceiling: providing reliable detection over up to 24 m or about 80 feet in two directions
The detection is regardless of the ambient temperature. In fact the very nature of HF technology, the sensor can pick up motion through glass and wood structures like doors without compromising its efficacy. The sensitivity adjustment feature available with the sensor assists the user to calibrate the sensor in accordance with their needs.
Until now HF Sensors were designed to sense in a 360°detection area, however with the DUAL HF the motion is detecting in a linear format making it an ideal motion sensor for long corridors, passageways and aisles.
The reach can be proportionally reduced in both directions all electronically by its range adjustment potentiometer. Advanced features include control through DALI [for daylight dependent dimming & scene management], 1-10V [for daylight harnessing] & KNX [Building Management remote management]. These sensors have their own IR handheld remote control for local parameter settings making it very convenient for a user.
