Those bushings really wore away at that casing. Good thing you had an extra set and did it right with putting bearings in. Nice job and it looks awesome!

Loved Graysons enthusiasm towards doing the damper rebuild himself, he's learning well.
I've never built a Falcon, so was interesting to see the it looks very similar to the hopper, hornet, lunchbox etc.

Hi there Thad, definitely right to change the gearbox halves too, especially as they were worn too, by the excessive play, caused by worn plastic bearings; adding the sports tuned, would only have worn the old gearbox even more, so right to change and support the drive train with proper bearings. Guy 😁 A small tip for you. Lower the rear shocks ( shorten ) 5mm or there abouts, it will stop your dog bones binding or popping out. I ran my falcon in the 80s with a technigold no dog bone issues. Trade secret 🤫

That came out nice, those bushing wear so badly and Tamiya still use them. The washers all they did was to wear the casing out and good you used the better parts.
