The Terrifying Acid Bath Murderer (True Crime Documentary) | Real Stories

Показать описание
The seemingly admirable and respectable middle-class man, John Haigh, was guilty of six grotesque murders in which each victim was drained of blood and later dissolved in acid. Haigh's calculated disposal of the bodies was an attempt to acquire their wealth in the belief that this would prevent any risk of conviction. Was he a bloodthirsty Satanist or one of the most cunning and callous killers who would do anything for money to feed his greed for money?

Someone in my country tried this mess as well. He was a teacher and messed around with an underage student and got her pregnant. Lured her to his house, killed her and left her body in the acid to dissolve. A neighbor however reported the horrible smell and called the police to investigate. The police came and saw the pieces of the body in the acid and arrested him.

They said “if he was looking down on us, what would he think?”

I cannot help but wonder how many people ACTUALLY get away with murder, using Sulphuric Acid😬

My favorite psychology quote is. Normal people can get away with murder, its quite easy. But normal people do not murder, so they always get caught.

It's interesting how much they talk about his emotions so much. It seems clear from his original comments about swindling people and meeting his own needs with no thought of others that he was a psychopath. I doubt he was even capable of feeling emotions like guilt.

Side note, I love the style that these videos are edited in. It's like a mix between casual and doc

He probably chopped up the victims before throwing them in the acid. I would think that dumping a heavy object in the acid would cause splash back. What an evil man!!

It's a definite recklessness and probably a feeling of excitement that got him to keep going. What confuses me is that, after the first murders, he acquired their several properties that were bringing in rent from occupants, surely he was able to have that income sustain his lifestyle for longer than three years, so did those 6 properties cease to pay rent?

If the man wanted money so bad, why not just marry into wealth if he was so good at "charming" people? 🤷🏽‍♀️

Well David Briffit (or whatever his name is)—answered none of the questions. It’s amazing just how many people write about things, but don’t write any insight— but curiously THINK they have . This us common. Let me explain: the interviewer asks: What led Haig to this l? And David answers: that he had a strange upbringing where they didn’t have Christmas . Haig wanted what other people had, and was willing to go to any lengths. The answer doesn’t match the question. Lots of deprived kids want desperately what other people have. That doesn’t explain WHY he went to such lengths . Then, our interviewer asks: “What led Haig to live this life of crime?” And David gives an answer about one of Haig’s techniques (forging signatures). Thats like asking:: “Why did the man kill his family??” Snd getting the answer “He stole things as a child”. So common -we dont know the motivation, the real issue. Which is fine. But things are made actually less understandable when we give unrelated red herring mis—answers to things, to act intelligent snd like we know what happens. This firs more than not answer the questions— it buries the truth further down. Its a real issue with folks,

If anyone is interested, check out the Snowtown "Bodies in the Barrels, " about Australian murders where six were found in barrels, and another two in a backyard. 11 in total. It's very similar to this, with fraud, murder, acid...

It's amazing that people don't exact their own justice on people like this. I would imagine that leaking packages arriving in different locations around the same time would send a message to anyone thinking of the same crime. Then again, I'm sane and trying to deal with the insane. Serial killers never realize that there are people who would see them in the same capacity.
