LDS mission president from Salt Lake area dies unexpectedly in France

President Jason Michael Soulier of the France Lyon Mission died unexpectedly in his sleep on Saturday, according to an announcement from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

This is such a tragic loss! Jason exuded love for serving others and enthusiasm for life in everything he did. I was having dinner with the area missionaries at home in Brazil when I saw the news on my phone. I was shocked and devastated, I can only imagine what a marvelous human being he was. I did not know him or his wife. I am really sorry

Sister Soulier was my eldest sons math teacher at Wasatch Jr. High. Such a wonderful woman that cared so deeply about her students. We are all praying for you Jennifer and send all of your family lots of love at this incredably sad time. We are so sorry for your loss.
