It was good to be able to unify Vietnam

What many people don't realize is that the North Vietnamese were the good guys (maybe not good guys, but not the bad guys either way) in the Vietnam war.
Sure, they commited warcrimes but so did the USA, AUS and South Vietnamese.
thing is: The North fought to unify Vietnam, that was their primary goal.
2nd: they fought to end (and won) an extremely authoritarian communist dictatorship called Khmer Rouge (arguebly worse than North Korea)

US propaganda protrays the Vietnam as people fighting for extreme communism like China or Korea.. that's just straight up wrong.
HCM even quoted some really famous American quote in his speech and .. the USA is the one responsible for getting HMC in charge anyway.
only reason USA invaded is because they wanted Vietnam to have the same political idea as them.
They invaded purely for political interest, something that cannot be justified in any way.

South Vietnam also had the paracel islands until the Chinese stole it during the war. They also took some parts of west Cambodia and south Laos before losing it again.
