Sathya is a 1988 Indian Tamil-language action social drama film directed by Suresh Krissna and produced by Kamal Haasan. The latter stars along with Amala. The film's music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja and lyrics were penned by Vaali. The song "Valayosai" was originally intended for one of Ilaiyaraaja's studio albums, but on Haasan's insistence, he included it in Sathya.

I would've listened to this song innumerable times in my life ever since I first heard this song an a mix-tape cassette that I borrowed from my friend during school days.... But believe me.... I've never ever heard many of those little nuances and sounds of music that I got to hear from this remastered masterpiece.... Feeling blessed to be alive for listening to this stupendous work 🙏
