This is probably what I need to pull the LAST response from a given student when I have them fill out their weekly reflection in a form. I did it another way but I like this way better. I could see using this a lot when dealing with duplicate rows and wanting to get the most recent data.

After your last video you inspired me and this was what I was trying to do (unsuccessfully). I was trying to look up the latest sell price of each stock I had sold. This will work perfectly. Excellent teaching and content as always. Thank you!

Thanks, this helped. I prefer to use countif instead of sumproduct for readability to get the last number

Insted of doing whatever thing you did chosing the index, its enough just to wirte in the index =INDEX(FILTER, CONTARA(FILTER)) and that's it

Pardon it’s just my suggestion: may be next time you can share a simple ERP (or advanced one) built on google sheet.
Thanks a lot...

Cool as always, thumbs up. Also you can use sort(filter()) but must be have structured unique parameter

Was having troublr with sumproduct func, I just used countif func since it does the same thing

just do =COUNTIFT(range, what you want)
in my case, =COUNTIF(D:D, "Deposit")

i have multiple of the same date and want to find the last one. but my sumproduct fucks up. it gives me an error. "function split parameter 1 value should be non-empty"

This is great - what if we wanted to do the most recent date rather than the last entered value?
