Removed Beta Content in GTA 4

Today we mod back 12 things Rockstar Games REMOVED in the GTA IV beta, cut content from military fighter jets, snow, weapons all the way to mountainous regions and rural beta map. Grand Theft Auto 4 cut content makes me sad, knowing these features were deleted from the game before release. The mods used in todays video are listed below:

0:00 - Introduction
0:10 - Cut Weapons
1:05 - Minigun
1:55 - BETA Map
4:02 - Fighter Jet
4:59 - Snow
6:23 - GTA 4 Tank

with all these cut weapons, jet, tank, extended map (Liberty Upstate) etc, the game would have been much more complete, a shame those were scrapped. well at least EFLC brought some new features like new weapons, parachute, gang wars, a small tank etc

GTA IV is meant to have small amount of guns because they are not legal(Dimitri tells us that guns store are "underground places" and that there only few in whole city)

Y'know, given how the driving in GTA4 can be slippery at times. It makes me think it may have been intended to take place during winter.

I don't understand why people put all this work into a video without including links to the mods. Makes zero sense to not at least credit the mod authors.

Something about seeing an M1A2 being crewed by a Yugoslav War veteran in totally not New York is pleasing to me :3

We can’t have snow in a city that actually gets a lot of snow. But we can have gta 5 based in la where it doesn’t snow but it snows in the game. Makes a lot of sense rockstar

Gta 4 would be the perfect gta if it had these things in the final game.

I agree - many of these improvements would have made the game much more immersive - I'm glad the TBOGT DLC added some more stuff such as weapons and some of the cars that we see in GTA 5.
However, I'm disappointed that Rockstar couldn't add features such as sticky bombs or improved on the existing Pay'N'Spray Colour Customs - it's annoying that it takes a long while to choose the colour of my car...

That 'P996 Lazer' in GTA 4 is litterally a F16 but with 2 tailfins. It's actually a shame that the P996 Lazer in GTA 5 looks different.

If i recall correctly, there's hidden underground facility on that countryside mod. I found one gate when driving a boat. I think it supposed to be silent hill facility

My theory on all this cut content is that they were basically trying to make gta 5 before gta 5. Probably due to time restraints they did away with a lot of it. Imagine gta 4 with the graphics and gameplay of 5 with an extended story of 4 with more customization.

This is a awesome mod, it will be really fun to play when it's out. I do think they'll be able to work around the airplane issue though since the beta content has handling files and a jet model that work when tested. The only reason R* removed them was due to concern the jets could get around the map too quickly for their speed. This would obviously not be a problem for Vice City with the Dodo and Sea Skimmer. Also, The Rhino and Minigun were cut too and could be restored :D

I will be waiting for the community to start making the rest of the missing map from the beta, just as happens with GTA 5 with Las Venturas and San Fierro

4:44 its not just the fact they weren’t added, its also the fact that the game was released 7 years after 9/11 happened, and i’m pretty sure the terrorism scare was still at its prime at the time. Which is why you can’t find the World Trade Center in the GTA 4’s downtown district.
