Followed your "Frankenstein Ceiling" process and was amazed by the results, absolutely no movement after the glue dried. Thanks for posting.

Happy to come across your video ... A huge crack just opened up in a ceiling after some howling winds... almost 16 feet long... this gives me hope... I should try to send a picture to you... I was dumb-founded when i saw it thanks Sir Knight

Great video! thanks for sharing. Any updates? So due to this covid issue, I started helping out my parents in their home and doing small fixes. I came across this issue and will attempt to fix it for them. It's a long crack on plaster. There was also wallpaper put over the plaster and then paint on top of that. I think I am going to follow your lead and cut down the line of the crack, tighten the plaster with screws to attach to the lathe and then put some mud on it. Thanks again!

You did good there. I have a similar ceiling. I guess i wanted some that the full thing didnt have to be ripped down. Even though ive done this sorta stuff many times, everydays a school day. lol.

A good method but I did it a bit differently - did not trust drywall screws to hold plaster, so I bored in a few mm and embedded washers in with the screws for much better grab, then just filled over the lot.

Vinegar and water will solve your wallpaper and glue issues. Steamers take too long! Put vinegar and water in a pump sprayer and saturate the walls x 3 over a period of 30 min, take care of some other things you need to do and come back with a wide plaster knife .

You should be using a flexible compound on all those cracks . But otherwise nice job...
