General Heed, after removing the kill barrier on Cold Storage and getting to where the flood infection are, can you get attacked? Can an elite (multiplayer) be infected without mods?

This is actually a really smart way to optimize the map. Instead of having 1000 objects on the map to spawn mines when a player is near. You have one object that tracks the player and spawns mines near them in certain areas.

I remember playing a match on Sandtrap and died to a landmine inside the map and I always wondered why that happened. I guess now I know that the AI driving the guardian ball must have made a mistake and fired a landmine launching beam at me while I was still inside the boundaries of the map. 10+ year old question finally answered. Pretty awesome.
