very nice tone and playing. I've played almost nothing but Ibanez superstrats, including a 1998 UV777 all my life, and lost interest in playing, and music in general for quiet prolonged periods of this time. Just feeling uninspired.

I feel like a typical dude going through a mid life crisis, and am considering financially irresponsible spending on new guitar gear and growing up from a shredding young lad, to a twanging old guy with a tele and/or strat as my weapon(s) of choice, along with my growing, but enough for now synth and VST collection.

God knows why. I'll never be a great player, nor do I intend on playing in a band, releasing recordings, or making a name for myself. I just find that the days can be drag in agony if I let the, which is easy to do if in a rut, and damn hard to climb out of without a good enough reason to do so.

A little pain at the point of sale and then some dedicated wood shedding to refresh and learn new skills on the instrument that made me fall in love with music sounds like the best form of therapy I could hope for. It won't cure me of my issues, but will hopefully make my days less unpleasant for me, at least, maybe not so much for my neighbors.

Just got to first look about and see what I don't use or need and make some tough decisions to sell said items to fund the rekindling of my youthful spirit with a more mature sound. One that actually more closely resembles the music that I gravitate towards as a listener.
