Please for the love of God can we all agree that $1000 for a GPU is completely insane!

Nvidia: The RTX 3090 starting at $1799

AMD: Oh nice. Navi 21 starting at $1499

Me: :/

I sold my 2080ti on this man's advice. Got $1080 for it. The intention was to buy the 3090 expecting it to be a maximum of $1400. If it's $2000 I might as well just buy a next gen console and forget about PC. Nvidia just want it to be even more of a moneypit.

Help us AMD, you're our only hope (against ridiculously priced Nvidia cards).

I'm old enough to remember when nvidia's flagship cards were $500

I really hope that AMD RDNA 2 can compete with nvidia upcoming 3k series.
Tired of nvidia leading, we need lover prices on the GPU's

Do you know how upset consumers will be when a whole console system costs the same amount as JUST the grpahics card of equal graphical power as that console?

After XBox series X and PS5 release AMD and Nvidia are going to have to sort out their pricing a LOT better to keep PC enthusiasts interested.

In the meantime, this 980Ti has done well but I'm ready for an upgrade...just not looking to Nvidia this time around.
**Just to be clear, I'm on the consumer side here and will always go with the best price to performance gpu, no matter if it's AMD/Nvidia...or potentially Intel someday.

If navi 22 is the recently leaked navi2 gpu that is 15% faster than a 2080ti, than competition is probably going to be really tight this gen

I miss the times when a top of the line enthusiast gamer gc was around 400 bucks and everyone was licking their fingers after it.
Now we are in the Apple dimension of gc pricing and there is no light in sight, that things will roll back to normal soon.
I think we just need a big gc crash, where gamers just don't buy shit above 500$, no matter the performance...
As long a people pay a 1000$ for totl gc, there is no hope for prices that are decent.
And to the people who say, "well duh, not my problem if you can not afford it, ex dee" - you guys are like the thot simps on twitch, just simping nvidia...

watch AMD match Nvidia's insane pricing by just barley undercutting them lmao. NVIDIA sells 3080 for $999 then AMD sells its direct competitor for like $850-900. At the end of the day, they're corporations with profit motives, I'm very pessimistic about pricing right now.
