If you’ve never used infinite delays, try this!

Try feeding any sound into extreme delays! You can do this with any delay that can reach high feedback settings, in any DAW. It's great for transitions of for adding loose layers to something that's otherwise a bit "rigid" or programmed.

delays with more than 100% feedback may be awesome on vocals. when I've tried it on EBM/Futurepop song, I've got it to sound like more or less distinct words that weren't present in original voice track! it's kind of sick. and the distorion due to delay output clipping is also nice

I can definitely see Sudbeat signing this track, couldn't focus on the tutorial because of how good it was.

Thanks Oscar. I've been struggling to find a transition into a break running at halftime speed. This is ideal! 😄

I heard a noise in the Ross from Friends Track Analysis that I was wanting to recreate and I heard it amongst your playfulness, so will definitely try this

Always like delay videos and see what people come up with, thanks !
I believe a decent (analog) delay should be the first buy after the 'first synth'. It will give life smoothness warmth body and movement to any source material, even thin crappy synths. And wayy better sounding than most onboard effects.

* Check out the Boss DM-101 delay, EIGHT analog BBD chips. Just got mine and I'm slightly delerious.

There is a way to automate this if you don’t have hardware with knobs or faders — or just want an aleatoric element in your track you only have partial control over.

Use an LFO & assign it to the element you want to “twiddle” & then assign a second one, set to random instead of sine which is assigned to the frequency of the of the first LFO. It’ll take some work to find the spots but once you’ve done it, save the whole thing as a grouped pre-set & you will always have it.
I recommend Echo with these pairs of LFO on the frequency, feedback & decay parameters.

So I play guitar and borrowed an MXR analog delay pedal. Without playing a note, you can make gnarly sounds just twisting knobs. The important part is it has to be analog! I made some sick intros to slam metal songs in my old band just doing that.

I love this tutorial! I plan to try buying a midi keyboard controller that’s got a send/return (I’m not sure if this is a thing like a guitar amp) but I want to use my guitar/bass pedals to add to the plugins I have.
