They make murder mystery "boxes" that allow people to pretend to be a detective, not to mentions lots of books, movies, shows, podcasts, & even computer games. Any one of those could serve as a hobby for OP's wife...maybe before she put herself on the board & planted "evidence", both of which are WELL known boundaries to never cross when actually wanting to solve a mystery. The wife seems more interested in the drama & manipulation, not the mystery.

People in abusive relationships have been love bombed, subtly gaslighted, and had their feelings minimized...and so much more...in a huge stew of manipulation techniques. The goal of which is to put them under the abusers control. It creates incredible confusion and doubt in the victim's mind. The victim knows something is wrong, but it can take years for them to realize that it's emotional abuse.

Ive cut, bleached, and dyed my hair hundreds of times in the al.ost decade my partner and i have been together. And by cut i dont mean trim. I mean side shaves, bald, mohawks, all sort of wild styles. I have not one single time asked his permission or input and the extent of letting him know has been "im doing my hair can you keep baby occupied for an hour".

Story 1: real quick question because it’s kind of bugging me. Why would putting herself on a board about cheating make OP feel better? Or anyone else for that matter? I know it’s a losing battle to makes sense of crazy but I just want to know her logic.

Anyway, this isn’t a hobby, this is an obsession taken by someone who is looking for any kind of drama. I mean, trying to hide the board from OP would’ve been one thing, but intentionally destroying a marriage to prove to your husband, your hobby your thing is accurate. Which wasn’t the reason OP wanted it to stop, and just proved why this is toxic, along with making an enemy out of the entire neighborhood.

But on the upside, she’s pretty much done with this. There’s no way this isn’t going to get out to the entire neighborhood. And when it does, she and probably OP are going to be completely shunned by everyone. Everyone will know she’s a psycho that’s intentionally ruining their bridges just for fun, and they won’t let her in on anything ever again.
