Numerical Methods in Python Series - Bisection Method
this tutorial will show you how to solve non linear equation in Python using Bisection Method
the function is
f(x) = e^x - 5x^2
with interval between
a = 0 to b = 1
and
epsilon = 0.00001
steps:
1. watch previous video:
Numerical Methods in Python Series - Calculating Taylor Series for Exponential Function
Numerical Methods in Python Series - Solving Non Linear Equations
2. the pseudocode

3. the result shows that the solution is convergence to 0.605263
4. try for
f(x) = x^3 - 2x^2 -5
with interval between
a = 2 to b = 3
with
epsilon = 0.00001
5. the result shows that the solution is convergence to 2.690651
6. try for
f(x) = x^3 - x - 2
with interval between
a = 1 to b = 2
with
epsilon = 0.00001
7. the result shows that the solution is convergence to 1.521385
we will learn more about solving non linear equations with regula falsi method in the next tutorial ;)
