The german team going into the euros is completely different than the teams of the last major tournaments. This times squad is way more based on current form than players who already have a big name in football but played a bad season

Neuer, Ter Stegen, Rüdiger, Tah, Schlotterbeck, Kimmich, Kroos, Musiala, Wirtz, Gündogan, Andrich, Sané, Müller, Füllkrug, Havertz... and even more. You can't see this team and say it's not even top 3. Musiala and Wirtz being the energy, Kroos directing the game (he does have so much impact), 2 of the best goalkeepers this season (and overall), prolly the most solid defense in the tournament and a really good attack to wrap it up. There's always surprises in football, but Germany is 100% the strongest contender right now.
