This is a big hit in Indonesia. It's called croffe. Basically it's a croissants dough pressed in a waffle maker then you top it off by some toppings like chocolate jam or seeet cheese.

I tried this a few weeks ago and it rocked. Had to cut the croissants in half sandwich wise to make them not so dense though

Try the uncooked frozen croissants from costco instead of the already cooked ones. Just let it thaw out as per the instructions but instead of baking it, you throw it in a waffle maker with a bit of sugar. When it’s cooked, then you can add whatever you want on it.

make dough, let it rise, thin sheet dough and butter, cut it, stack it. roll it, cut it, stack it, cut triangles, form croissant, egg wash, top with powdered shuggar, bake for 10-15 min untill flaky and golden brown


Take croissant, moisten it up, flatten it, bake in wafle shape, drissel with more suggar and a little bit of powdered suggar for plating

I did this with blueberry maple sausage, and a vanilla/smoked sugar creme for a brunch about 10 years ago, its definitely good.

We take the uncooked croissants from Costco, roll them in sugar, put a bit of butter on the waffle maker griddle, and then we make a croissant waffle out of it, no egg at all, delicious..
