I love how slow and steady you take your youngsters. I can't believe it but I've been following you for 11 years now on Youtube, starting with miss Boo rushing to fences. It's been such a journey watching your career unfold!

Love this! I really liked your note about starting the trot work earlier for an anxious horse. My young gelding went soo much better away from home when I started letting him trot sooner in our warm-ups to settle his anxiety. Some days he's happy to settle in at the walk, but it's a good tool to have in mind!

She's a lovely young horse!! I really like your young horse philosophy, especially taking the time with the young horses. So many seem to be started too young or doing too much too soon! I really like how simple and correct you keep it for them. And all of the stretches! I need to do that more with all of my horses! I have a 3 year old who is growing up out in pasture with the herd. She'll get started undersaddle this summer, but very lightly for a couple months, then back out to pasture. Then started again next year during the summer and do a lot of basics including trails. In eventing here, they have a young horse series competition, but I feel they have to do too much too soon, so I won't do it. I'm happy taking the time, I know others don't have that luxury, but I do.

I love this! It makes me feel like my horses training went really fast! I bought her as an untouched 2 year old, halter first day, saddle first week, first ride at two weeks, ive owned her for 2 and 1/2 years now and she can barrel race, jump, trail ride, and do western/English pleasure

It so great to see your clips working with her. I've got a 5yo to break in, and hopefully she will become a good friend and trustful steed just like your Fernanda

She seems to have such a good brain and I love how you took things slow with her, allowing her to grow up. She’s going to be gorgeous! They grow up so fast though! My baby is almost 2 years now, seems like yesterday I was going stallion hunting to find the perfect match!!

You are going to be a great pair once she grows stronger and you start jumping! I wanted to wash her tail SO BAD, though! I guess thats the reality of horses that are living outside :D I would really appreciate an updated farm tour!

That's a great tip, correcting with the leg first. I have the bad habit of immediately trying to correct resisting the bit with my hands. I'll have to keep that more in mind!

Wow! She looks good ! I’m curious as to the Irish martingale use- we only see those here on hunt horses and track horses. Is there a reason for it in your training? This is such a clever mare and I love how quiet you are!
