Just bought an 860 Evo 250GB, put Windows and my games on it and I can only say I regret nothing, the best 90€ I‘ve ever spent. Boot time went from ~5 minutes to 20 seconds.
From pressing the start button I need 50 seconds to be in an pubg match.
Ahh, technology is great.

You wont see faster speeds in Sata SSD's now, we have essentially capped out the bandwidth of Sata 3 which is a realistic speed of about 550mbps

I had to mount my laptop to the table or it would take off . Boot time improvement is unbelievable 20 sec. Working with video editing or photo editing is so fast now . restoring open tab's in google after reboot takes 1 sec and they are all there like freaking 20 open tab's and they reload in no time . Love it :) worth the $100 cad :)

I bought the Samsung NVME M.2 960 500GB for a boot drive, another Samsung NVME M.2 960 1TB as my secondary drive and the Samsung EVO 860 2TB SSD as my archive/backup drive. All of these drives are top shelf and very reliable.

Just put one on my laptop, its like having a new computer .Its been slow for years and was going to buy a new one but decided to try a ssd, paid £ 70 can't believe the difference and so easy to fit.

Got tired of playing Skyrim (heavily modded) on my external mechanical drive (1TB) and there was no space in my boot drive (850PRO 128GB) so I got one of these and wow great performance. I honestly thought it wouldn't be able to compete with the PRO version that I bought years ago!

I just ordered the 860 on Thursday. It should be here Monday. I have a 100GB SSD that's rocket fast. It's just so small for all of the supporting files I need for the software I use. 500GB will be perfect as I save all of my working fines on a separate 3TB RAID 1 set up. (Two 3TB HDD mirroring.) I can run all 4 drives as the Mac Pro Desktops has four drive bays that hook directly to the mother board. Love those Mac Pro 4.1's and 5.1 from 2009 on up. I think Apple built some of there best stuff in that period... I have a MacBook from that same period. Works great. Love where computers are right now. You can do so much. With SSD's you have an entire computer within the computer. HDD are great cheap storage...

Its really good, before i had a terrible pc that took like 10 min to boot, but now in my new pc i need 50 sec- 1 minute to get into any game from boot. its really good :))

I just purchased a 1tb 860Evo for $183 US and I’m amazed it’s got a 5 year warranty and man it just really sped up my laptop that was being hobbled by a 7200 rpm HDD.

With the Samsung Magician software, I had Overprovisioning set to 25% of the storage drive, and I also enabled the performance optimization option (RAPID Mode). This gave me a speed of over 3, 000MB/s for sequential reads and writes! I checked twice, just in case. (I have a 500GB version.).
