I use stretched res because it makes the crosshairs fatter. I use a cricle crosshair and when the circle is a lot wider its easier to spot heads. It doesnt make me immortal, but i have no negative changes in quality or gameplay for the most part.

if you dont mind having a lower resolution than usual, I personally recommend 16:10. The game is almost the same, but you have a little bit more vision in your sides

Straight to the point. Nothing pointless was said. Everything was factual and kept it nice short and simple. Thanks!

I didn't even need to watch the whole video. Just this man giving us the answer first then explain. rather then baiting his viewers to have to watch the whole video just for the simple 5 second answer. This gave me a good enough reason to sub

Honestly 4:3 just reminds me the good old times where i played my ps2 its just nice to see some of the edges a bit pixelated but still containing the beautiful things in valorant, the shading the everything it brings back good memories

There is 2 good reasons to use stretched in Valorant.

1: God Crosshair
2: Feels more smooth

nah.. I'm comfortable with my crosshair in 4:3

I play on the lowest res, it feels really good and actually kinda zoomed in, which means long range is easier

In 4:3 crosshair actually looks better than a 16:9 since you can shoot heads with it

I play on 4:3 because I spent nearly two hours trying to set it up and switching monitors thinking that it wasn't stretching due to a bug or something and I don't care enough to switch everything back

Holy the placebo effect got me i guess, i've been playing so much better since i got the idea of switching to 4:3 knowing that in csgo this works like wonders and actually felt like the enemy models were much larger... I feel stupid now

4:3 crosshair just helped me transition from cs to valorant then i just got normal to 16:9

2023: my game allows me to stretch valorant models just like CSGO, running 1600x900 16:9 res stretched to 34" 21:9 monitor, no blackbars. but i think its not intended by riot, i am using a walkaround

I used to play CS:GO stretched 4:3 1280x960 and did the same for Valorant. While it doesn't stretch the hitboxes like you explained, I generally play better when at 4:3 than 16:9 for some reason.
