Jorah Mormont in the books seems so different than the shows Jorah. Show Jorah seems refined, polite, dignified, chivalrous etc. In the books he seemed more belligerent and gritty. A lot of characters in the show we're portrayed perfectly. Like Sandor Clegane, and Oberyn Martell for example.

It's funny how the Dothraki are painted as this unstoppable force, yet they have zero versatility and could be easy countered.

Shame in the show the unsullied are not shown as very dangerous. Even The Last Kingdom displayed the terrifying effectiveness of shield walls better.

I would’ve loved to see the Unsullied in a proper fight in GoT instead every time they fought they either slaughtered or got slaughtered. Imagine Unsullied and Northmen in a shield wall against the Golden Company with Lannister soldiers raining fire from above! That could have been epic… but because they buffed the scorpions they had to double buff Drogon and it became just another slaughter with no real stakes…

This seems to parallel the Mamluks defeating the Mongols in 1260 AD.

The Mamluks were also slave soldiers like the Unsullied and the Dothraki are a mix of many of the nomadic hordes like the Mongols, Huns, etc.

The Mamluks halted the Mongols at Egypt. By then the Mongol Golden Horde started to lose its unity.
