My thing is if originally Brown pikmin was supposed to be in the game and they were supposed to have 10 pallets per Pikmin how come they won't give it to the purples

I'm pretty sure with black pikmin it kinda seems like they would of been resistant to cold attacks and thus may have eventually turned into the ice pikmin. Notably, even with the glow pikmin, the color was not consistent with the concept, and them literally being made out of ice not only would not only keep the concept of cold resistance, but give them more unique aspects.

For the remaining ideas, I think some of the abilities need to be combined to make it worth it and not redundant. I kinda like the idea of a small “quantity over quality” Pikmin like the pink ones. But if you take them, give them the “forming bridges” ability of the greens and the “fast construction” ability of the browns, I think we could be looking at a really cool idea. Their strength would essentially be their abundance and “swarm-like” abilities.
Maybe you can train them to form more than just bridges, for example they could form a platform that allows the player to get up higher, and then you call them and they can climb up the wall back to you.
Other than that, I really want to see a Pikmin that specializes in underground travel and digging. One that could help form tunnels, slip past enemies, etc… I’m surprised something like that hasn’t been explored yet.

I would say that the black furry Pikmin is probably the origin of the Ice Pikmin, reworked to be more useful and with more interesting mechanics

You know how Cyan Pikmin could be added in the game? By making a random event where a bunch of enemies take apart a specific treasure and spread out, so your goal would be to gather all the parts, then you could use Cyan Pikmin to repair the treasure

the black pikmin probably were the original concept for ice pikmin, which are obviously resistant to icy stuff and the cold

I think the brown concept is pretty cool where it requires more pellet input. It would be really cool to have some means of rewarding the player for overly farming. Because its currently very easy to bring up numbers. Having an option like that would be really awesome

Perhaps pink Pikmin could have been used to throw at certain spots on a wall in order to make the wall climbable?

Or maybe as stepping stones for throwing other captains onto?

Or maybe even blocking water falls?

I always thought the black pikmin from this concept had spikes instead of hair, so maybe a spiked pikmin would be cool

For the big, helpful Bulbmin, maybe instead of inspiring the creation of Oatchi, it inspired the creation of Moss, the Pikmin dog from the start of the demo. Both have leaves, so perhaps Moss was created first, then Oatchi was made after the devs wanted the dog to also be a Rescue Corps member? Then maybe they didn’t want to completely scrap the design, so they just used Moss as the Olimar equivalent of Oatchi.

All except for the green and slime one were transformed into new Pikmin. Shell Pikmin became Rock Pikmin, Brown Pikmin were redesigned Purple Pikmin and merged with Shell Pikmin, Pink Pikmin were redesigned White Pikmin that became Flying Pikmin, and, of course, we have the orange Glow Pikmin.

I want ALL of them someday. You know, I honestly prefer the old designs for Glow Pikmin, as well as their Orange colour scheme.

Great video! but actually a great idea for the small pink pikmin at the end that you didn't like would be what if they were the only ones that you could have more of as in you could have 200 hundred out on the field but only if you have the pink ones there small do less damage but it would be cool to see, maybe they don't even count as a full pikmin because of there size they could as half hence why you can half 200, just an idea I found interesting, I've always wanted them to add a way to have a lil more pikmin in the field with you maybe well see some of that in this game.

I looooveee the idea of the climate being a hazard, but it has to be done right. Say it would be a smaller area to most, more like an impact site or a final trial sized puzzle. Also at least for black pikmin (if nintendo makes this happen i want them to be called fuzzy Pikmin lol) it could be attached to areas. So say the distant tundra was a bit bigger because there were 3 frozen glaciers and only black pikmin & ice pikmin could go in there because its so cold, others would get a lot slower and would be at risk of freezing (as in like the pikmin 4 hazard) and it would just be impractical to use other types. They could have like hairy bulborbs back and similar enemies that would make sense to be there, but it would definitely be very barren.

If they did a volcano, it could be at the top of a mountain area and when you climb to the top you unlock it or something like that. most of the puzzles would be fire based and it would have fire enemies only, similar to ice glaciers if that was a thing. My main thing is that they are not a full sized area, more of a gimic but instead of it taking away from an area its just addidtional content to it. You could do something like it with electricity and have a power plant. I think the idea was explored a bit with the submerged castle, but it would be more focused on a specific hazard rather than all of them.
