I saw an ad about earbud's ANC and he explained it is used to cancel noise background so that you can only hear the audio from the earbuds. I thought it's for cancelling the noise background of your microphone and I researched and saw this video. Thanks for adding explanation. Now I know what to buy next time.

Excellent, thank you. I thought that microphone Noise Cancellation was an oxymoron. I stand corrected. Just one point ANC does not repel (push away) anything; it cancels the background with an equal and opposite sound wave.

I’ve noticed I get better performance from headsets in actually phone calls then with recordings of their mic performance. I don’t know why they don’t just always cancel out noise even in “recorder” apps. I notice that with my jabra headsets!
