I like that you tested a bike with an attainable price tag. It makes the information so much more useful.

Love this bike. I'm a big human (6'6", 240lb w/gear) and the XL is perfect for me. I rode my buddies XXL stumpjumper and wasn't blown away by the extra top tube length or it's climbing ability. The enduro is basically a cross country bike with tons of travel and a slack head tube angle. It climbs very well (just as well as the stumpy IMHO) and really flies on the descents. I have a short enve stem, 810mm wide bars and that upgrade improved hard/fast cornering dramatically. I also have 29 x 2.6 tires (schwalbe nobby nics) and will never go back to the stock 2.3s or even to the 2.5 maxxis that I ran for a while. Traction + float = happy biker. At every price point (comp, s-works, etc) the enduro is a good buy. I have the S-works and got a bike with carbon wheels, cranks, frame and handlebar for <9G. Sure, it's an obnoxious amount of money but I definitely think it's good value if you are looking to dump a ton of $$$ into a bike and then ride it hard. If you are going to ride smooth dirt trails (like I did for a while in OH) then a hardtail will be fine. But if you are going to hit gnarly western trails with big rocks, drops and g-outs that make the trail in this demo video look like a paved golf cart path this is the bike for the job.
A particular bike will fit a particular person and if you are over ~6'3 I would look no further than this 29er. I demo'd a ton of bikes before settling on the enduro and am very happy with it.

strongly considering this for my next bike! either this or S-works Enduro 29er frame only and doing a custom build, also considering getting this bike and swapping parts out, Shimano drivetrain and brakes... hope or I9 wheels, fox or ohlins suspension. all comes down to if I want carbon or alloy frame... and what makes more sense money wise

6'5" tall, 220 lbs. 29er sounds like taco Tuesday every day for me. Am I wrong?

You guys need a tripod. Who's your camera man, Michael J Fox?

im 128lb, 5.9 on a 2016 endure elite medium frame with 29'' wheels. feels big cruising but downhill is quite maneuverable and goes over anything.

I really like the new format and everything, but most of the aggro 29 reviews sound the same which in the end doesn't really help my choice on which one to get. Maybe a comparison between bikes in the same platform Highlighter the strengths and weaknesses between the bikes. Or maybe they are so similar that it just doesn't make sense to do that, but either way it'd be nice to know your feedback in future reviews.

the stand over on this bike is very very tall for the L/XL, like a great Dane.. deal killer for me personally and I've demo'd it

Great bike for sensible price for me it's probably the best in this test so far. Personally I am not a fan of SRAM Guide brakes so I would sell them immediately and replace them with Zee (even if they were on a $6000 bike) and maybe I would get another dropper post but otherwise nothing really to fault on this monster... get another wheel set built with Hope hubs Flow MK3 rims and it still stays under $4000. It's a lots of money but with today's insane bike prices that's a bargain...

Why do you test the cheapest version of the enduro and not the s-works or the pro model? ...you guys test the topmodels of other brands like trek etc!

What about the rather "high " Bottom Bracket, is it an issue on decents thru the gnar?

Will you test trail bikes as well or is it just enduro?

what is the weight of the small 29er version? also, how will the climb performance be compared let say to a giant trance 2 27.5?

You just say good things about all bikes. For gods sake guys, you didnt say a word bad about cannondale trigger, the most overpriced and outdated bike on the market now, . As almost every cannondale to be honest
