Do you want to learn how to play guitar?
This is Steve Stine's Beginner Guitar Lesson Series created specifically for YouTube, and it offers you the opportunity to learn how to play the guitar for the absolute beginner.

In this guitar lesson, Steve Stine discusses a guitar chord called a "power chord".
This chord is very popular in modern rock music, and can be played on an acoustic or electric guitar.

Learning power chords can help you better understand how to play rock, blues and other styles of songs, but you can also use them as a "temporary" substitute for chords you don't know, until you get the opportunity to learn the correct ones.

In these videos, Steve uses:
Hawk Guitar Picks (TB6)
Martin HD28 Acoustic Guitar
Hughes and Kettner Era 1 Acoustic Amp

This series of guitar lessons for beginners covers topics like: how to tune your guitar, how to hold your guitar, parts of the guitar, how to hold the guitar pick, how to strum, how to play your first guitar chords, how to play songs, learning the notes on the guitar, and so much more.

I agree. Been through all the boring instructors who go by the book. Could not be more boring. Steve understands what makes you excited about playing/learning guitar and makes it both interesting and fun. He has quick and easy tips that resonate with you and help you practice more efficiently than you ever did in the past.

Hey Steve I'm glad I found your channel. My music background is in organ/piano/guitar back in the 70's and had stopped due to my career and other interest. 4 -5 years back purchased a Kurzweil and a Hammond Sk2 and started back on music Journey. Getting ready to retire I purchased a Fender Squire Strat and started looking online to start me off again. I have GOT TO SAY, your the BOSS. You presentation are so insightful, educational, professional, and FUN, FUN, FUN. My first task was to learn many chords again and the Power Chords / Barr chords. In fact the first day I got the strat I started playing Barr Chords again. First song that came to mind was Walk Away by the James Gang. After an hour my fingers were dying. Anyway you are an inspiration to all fellow musicians and beginners out there. I've told my wife. friends, & Co-workers that if this kind of online education (between piano and guitar) was out there in the 70's my career would have changed directions. Thanks for the inspiration

I can not think of a word in the english lexicon that describes my appreciation for what I have found in these videos. I am 55 years old and have spent most of my life trying to become a good guitar player and seem to become more and more frustrated I have started from the very beginning and am working my way through. I am convinced that learning the RIGHT way from you is going to get me where I want to be. Thank you so very much Mr Stine I watch every episode with enthusiasm and excitement. Thank you again!!!!

I love this guy, he is no bull, and articulates it well, he took me from a G, C and D guitar player to playing lead in no time. Nothing against G, C and D you can play 1000 songs with those 3 chords but I’m a 54 year old beginner and doing great thanks to Steve! Thank you Steve!

"So we call these two notes, My Sharona" ... haha that was nice & I'll probably always think of it that way now too. Glad you said it, I wasn't the only one thinking it.
