You may not get home from work until after 6 pm. Eating by 7 pm or even 8 pm has to be okay and get to.sleep by 12 pm. Plus if you have an injury and are taking Advil before bed you need to it with some food or it can give you stomach problems. Have to do what you have to do.

I eat when my body asks for food aka fuel, just don’t overeat, and dont lay down immediately after eating. Wait at least a hour

i think it is true and I used to do it until I was told that it was bad for me by a dietician who insisted on 5 or 6 small meals per day, every 2-3 hours. Today I think I shouldn't have followed her advice and what you say here is true. I always felt better sleeping on an empty stomach. Unfortunately, many dieticians want us to eat non stop like machines, otherwise we will die of hunger or slow down the metabolism.
