what irritates me the most was that leman disobeyed and ignored a direct order from the EMPEROR and instead decided that horus’ order to kill magnus was instead the order to follow, he didn’t check why horus gave him the order, he didn’t stop to consider that maybe the emperors orders were absolute and he didn’t stop to consider that it was suspicious that horus wanted magnus dead. but no, he just wanted to kill the psyker, get it over with and go back home to fuck his chihuahua.

The thousand sons really have a touching and tragic story. They wanted to elevate humanity with knowledge. Yet they were burned by the ignorant too afraid to see the light. And magnus is one of the best primarch simply cause he couldn't condemn his sons when the emperor asked him. In the end they were not traitor, they were the betrayed. Betrayed by the emperor at nikea, betrayed by russ. Betrayed by humanity who hated psyker, betrayed by the imperium....

I'm not sure if any Space Wolves fans feel it, but there really is little way to argue that Leman Russ was gunning for the TSons to be executed.

My Bois just out there using their Papa's gifts, and a bunch of space furries called them cringe and not very awoo, demanding them to be cancelled.

Yeah, they turn into bird monsters every now and then. But the legion who turns into literal wolves and have communion with warp entities don't have much ground to stand on here.

The Thousand Sons were by far one of the most powerful legion and their psykers power were rival to none and they were warrior scholars who perhaps been a shining beacon on how humanity future can be molded, but their only weakness was their arrogance and pride that they alone understood the powers of the warp and that nothing can threaten them in the immaterial.

"...can you give us some privacy?" The wolf said breaking the silence. The 2 eyed him.

"I...dont find that wise." Guiliman said.

"Please. 10 minutes."

The lion sighed.

"5 minutes. If theres trouble before then, you know what happens."

Guiliman relented, then left them.

"Go on. Get it out of your system. Noone can hear us exactly." Russ spoke bluntly.

"Fine. Your a hypocrite."

"Yes."

"Your short sighted, bloodthirsty and incapable of seeing past your own faults."

"You slaughtered everyone on prospero. My sons. Men. Women and children."

"Because my vengeance is meaningless when you are not the one who orchestrated my fall. Make no mistake you pulled the trigger, and the concequences will haunt you leman. But who made you pull that trigger is another matter entirely. And besides...i hate to admit it, but youve changed. Youve become something i probably should have before i refused salvation to keep my sons alive."

"What, a better psyker? Dont remind me."

"No. You admitted you were wrong. It was too late for me."

"So what do you plan to do. Kill me or your own sons perhaps?"

"No." The 1st grey knight spoke resolute

"Im going to rebuild. I will start from scratch and build a legion of wayward sons redeemed and made in equal measure. Ive failed my brothers. I destroyed my legion and sons, and doomed our father to what should have been my fate. But i can still, try to do good."

The ancient kings ice blue eyes watered. Even if it wasnt fully Magnus, it was still him at his best. This knight was left of magnus. As the 2 re entered, the lion nodded.

"So i was right after all. It is good to see you back if but a shard, magnus."

"I agree. But we have matters to atend to...and i have a vengeance long overdue with that snake who orchestrated all of this."

One of Magnus' biggest problems was that he used the powers of the warp so liberally thinking that there would be no drawbacks or that the denizens of it having nothing but altruistic intentions. The very definition of naive.

How did you not mention that the emperor offered to forgive magnus on terra, and magnus wanted to accept but the emperor demanded he abandon the thousand sons so he refused. Such a big point to miss

Cowards? Russ and his bs always piss me off calling their powers bad and the use of librarians a bad choice is such hypocrite thing to say because he is one of them! The rune priest are still librarians but father needed to hear the stupidity from mortarion and russ both hypocrites and worse of all both of them are connected to the warp, to this day this make my blood boil
