Did you know that egg yolk is one of the VERY RARE foods that has vitamin D naturally? And D is crucial for strong bones and a healthy immune system. You can only get D from oily fish, mushrooms, meat and egg yolks. That’s it. BUT guess what needs to be present for your body to actually absorb that vitamin D? Fat. Because vitamin D is fat-soluble. So is vitamin A, which you’ll also find in egg yolks.

It was mainstream media during the 1980s and 90s that pushed the 'low-fat' frenzy on society (regardless of the fact that low-fat processed foods were often loaded with extra sugar). Along with the false narrative that all fats were created equal, and therefore all equally bad for us, they also pushed a misinformed obsession with cholesterol. Since egg yolks were loaded with cholesterol, they were deemed bad❌. The truth didn't trickle out until years later that the cholesterol in eggs had no negative impact on one's actual cholesterol levels.

*That would be God Almighty who 'came up with this egg🥚thing'... and yeah, He knows what He is doing.
